Anti-floating and anti-flooding agent BYK P-104S

BYK P-104SAnti-Flooding and Floating Agent is a controlled flocculation wetting and dispersing additive used in medium to high polarity solvent-based industrial coatings and architectural coatings, as well as automotive putties.
BYK-104S dispersant prevents flooding and floating caused by the combination of titanium dioxide and other pigments.
To enhance anti-flooding and floating properties, BYK-P104S anti-flooding agent contains silicone.

BYK-P104S anti-flooding and floating agent is suitable for medium to high polarity systems and is particularly effective in preventing flooding when titanium dioxide is combined with other colored pigments. It can also be used in amine-neutralized water-based coatings. It is not compatible with mineral spirits. When used in anti-corrosion primers, it often enhances protective performance.

Anti-Flooding and Floating Agent also contains a small amount of polysiloxane copolymer to more effectively avoid flooding. This silicone content also helps prevent Benard cell formation and silking, and it improves surface slip, leveling, and the orientation of matting agents or aluminum powder, thus often eliminating the need for additional silicone additives.
